Spring is here and oh how I love the word...

Oh how I love Spring!! I looked at a blank canvas of mine and decided to take it out..it looked so bare that I wasn't sure I still knew how to paint or draw or anything! Well it has been a long time since I went to art school but since I know that painting is like riding a bike..I decided to take a whirl.

I looked for an hour for all my paints. I knew my husbands friend wanted a painting of a light house. I found a great photo of one. I went outside and started painting..I did that yesterday. I can't wait for the final product so that you all can see it and say "cool"..I am very crazed about anything I do. I never think it's good nor do I think it's even worthwhile..but when my husband and kids go past it they love it. I am painting outside and I look around and love to see the birds singing and the bees hanging over my head and I just smile. It's God's work! It's His work with all His wonders around me and it's His work that he puts talent in any of us. It's amazing how I write this and say "wow..Jesus is so wonderful, He gave me an incredible ability to communicate with my gifts and there are so many times I just whine and complain about my life and situation"!

He is there for us to communicate with either through our talent, our prayers or just us being there with the Father. I love Ephesians 3:18 and 19 and I put this in a small prayer for you to put your name in there:
" I pray Lord, that ______ may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that they may be filled with all the fullness of God"

I need to remember that and praise Him for that!

It's so great that utilize your GOD-given talents and that you realize that they are a gift HE gave you. I believe I have the gift of writing but my fear often hinders me from utilizing this gift. However, this piece is inspiring because I often sit outside and just look at the sky, listen to the birds and feel the breeze caress my face and am in such awe of HIS magnificence. Thanks for sharing! God Bless You!

Debrah was close. It is Philippians 4:8 that talks about whatever is pure, holy, lovely, etc. think on these things. I haven't memorized that one in full and accuracy yet but it is on my full page of new scriptures to memorize. I tend to get Eph and Phil mixed up too. Yes, it is Phil 4:13 that says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Donna, He is your strength. You know that but I'm just reminding you as encouragement.
Cling to Him, even if by your fingertips...I know how that is!
In His Grasp,
Paula

Hi my Friend,
Nice to get those creative juices flowing. Take a step back and look at your work as if your best friend had done it. What would you say to your friend about it. There that sounds better huh?

I'm sure it's great.
Be Blessed

Donna,
I've been reading your posts on here and on Rachel's blog. You continue to lift me up with your words. I too love to write, and keep a journal. I'm trying to get a blog going, but I'm not really good about computers. I would love some guidance if you could. You can email me at tjm58@aol.com
Have a blessed day!!

I was reading about your art and thought you might enjoy this story.

My daughter had much natural ability in painting and decided to take art lessons. After awhile she told her teacher that she wanted to paint roses on a small canvas to give to her grandmother. Oh, how she loved her grandmother. The teacher said that roses were difficult to paint and she wasn't ready but my daughter wanted to try. They were exceptionally beautiful red roses. But then, my daughter decided to paint another canvas of roses and was unable to! The one that she painted for her grandmother was done with intense love and love has no limits! The beautiful painting was a miracle of love!

Donna,
I woke up after only sleeping several hours and God placed you on my heart. I got up and prayed for you and wanted you to know that God does hear you and cares so much for you that He places you on the heart of other believers so you are lifted up. Blessings and Gods peace.

Praise God... everyone of you who wrote..thank you so much for your encouraging words!!

I needed them and I know God placed all of those words on your hearts just so I could feel his presence.

Katrina I can't tell you how wonderful it makes me feel that you woke up and God placed me on your heart! I have been crying so much lately because of my situations and my inability to know why I am feeling the way I am. What you said makes me feel that God is working on woman I don't even know, but know through our postings..isn't that just the Lord!!

Tommie I would be more than happy to help with your blog. Sweetpea you always bless me. Latonya thank you for helping me realize that I do have God-given talents. Lyn you always say the right words to encourage me also. Mary what you wrote about the miracle of love just makes me want to finish my painting even more.

All of you have touched me me so much that I know I am loved by the Father and all of you..thank you..I am humbled and feel like I can conquer anything and everything..God is good, and as we all know, all the time, and all the time, God is good..He has planted all of you in my life...Thank you and God Bless!

Can't wait to see your painting. I assume from what you said you will put it on your blog. You have been in my prayers also. Don't give up. Jesse Duplantis says when you ask God for something to start thanking Him for the answer.

I finally got my name figured out when I post. One of the other ladies told me what she did and it worked. I want to put a slideshow on but have not been able to figure that one out yet.
God bless you,
AliceE.

Hi Donna,
Yes I'm Quilting and I'm loving it. I don't get much time to do it but I do love it. The one on my blog is 3/4 done, it's for my oldest Granddaughter (15). When I need a little break from the hand quilting, I am also working on some applique block of the months, starting my next quilt and some placemats for gifts. Anyway it is a blast. I do other sewing too but this is my passion right now. Talk to you soon.
Love,
Lynn

I am an avid quilter..have been since 1995! I will post some of them..the problem is that I sold most of them. I will try to have my husband put the ones I sold on my scanner and see what happens. Quilting is not only a hobby, it is a lifestyle. I miss the days of when my twins were babies, that always gave me the excuse to quilt because this was my special time alone..oh I wish I wouldn't grow up..I promise to post my quilts and my paintings.
