Jesus is my Beloved and I am His...

I remember writing about the Lord wanting us to crave Him daily..well in Rachels Bible Study I just had to write something in the same way..

Jesus is our beloved and sometimes He may feel distant, right? I felt like that for so many reasons..whether it was in my mind or in my feelings. I felt abandoned and alone. He was distant from me. All I could do, besides completely backsliding, was keep moving into His being more and more. I know the ones that have read this blog know how hard it has been..until one day it was as if He never left me and my past was just that..my past..

But for those of you that really don't feel God right now, read this. When God seems distant how do we deal with it. Do we get angry, cry out, what? Everything is okay...God is real, no matter how you feel. God wants to mature our relationship with Him..when He does this He will test it with many periods of seeming separation...those are the times when it feels like He has abandoned or forgotten you.

Psalm 10:1 Lord, why are you standing aloof and far away? Who do you hide when I need you the most?
Psalm 43:2 Why have you abandoned me, God?

David felt like this constantly, that is why he wrote as many Psalms as he did. God admits that sometimes He hides His face from us. This is a normal part of the testing and maturing of your friendship with the Lord. Read Job 23: 8-10 I go east, but he is not there..And when he has tested me like gold in a fire, He will pronounce me innocent...

How do we praise God when you don't understand what's happening in your life and why is God silent? Do what Job did..Naked I came from my mothers womb and naked I will go back...Job 1:20-21

Let the Father know exactly how you feel..I have! I haven't said, "oh you think He'll be mad at me?" NO!!
"I can't be quiet! I am angry and bitter. I haver to speak!" Job 7:11

Regardless of whatever circumstance and how you feel, hang on to God's unchanging character.
  • He is good and loving
  • He is all powerful
  • He notices every detail of my life
  • He is in control
  • He will save me
I know that my Redeemer lives and that in the end He will stand upon the earth ..Job 19:25
Circumstances cannot change the character of God. Trust God to keep His promises and remember what He has already done for you.

I could of given up and given in to the enemy..it is so easy! I listened to my heart..I did cry and I did get angry..but our Beloved is so good and He is mine..through our lives He is unchanging and will never allow me to weaver or fall where I cannot be reached..My Heavenly Father wants us to trust Him because He is our Groom and that is all we have to remember...He Loves Us!!

Thanks, Donna,
I needed that. I truly believe this Song of Songs was written to show God's love for Israel and Christ's love for us His bride. I can also see it as a guide for us as human beings as to how we should love our husbands and how husbands love their wives. We are supposed to follow Jesus in everything we do and ask for His guidance.

I hope you will stop by my blog and let me know what you think. It's litlal.blogspot.com. I can't sign in with my blogger name From the Heart and I can't get a slideshow to load. Maybe you could give me some pointers. I think one of the problems is there is another blog with the same name.
You have been a blessing to all of us I'm sure. God bless you.

Donna, Hope you are having a good weekend.

My blogname has changed to fromtheheartae.blogspot.com. If you visit my site, you will need to go down to my Archives and click on April 2008. There are two additional posts, one explaining why you can't update your feeds on my site and the other is a prayer that was sent to me from a friend by email. It was so impressive to me I felt the need to share it with others.

Donna, I know there are a lot of blogs going. I have about eight of them stored in my favorites. It makes it very easy to click on each one and quickly scan them all. I check yours regularly, I just may not comment. I try to check everyones regularly and leave a comment so that others will also stop by mine. The Lord is really speaking to me the words to share and it feels so good as I love to write.

You spoke of David writing so many Psalms. I posted today on Psalm 86. It's what the Lord brought to me last night in my Bible reading.

I pray the Father gives you strength in your times of weakness and feeling overrought with the Devil's attack on you and your husband. May the Lord give you what you need to react and handle whatever the devil or your husband throws at you verbally.

Stay strong in the Lord. It is so true that we get so down and desperate feeling alone in the quiet times. They say it is in the quiet times that God does His most when. That indeed does sound like our God. For us to feel all alone in those times we don't seem to feel or hear Him, but wall-lah, that is when He's doing the most and working things out for our good. In hindsight we see that.

I have felt many of the things you've described in recent days. I've cried out to my God and asked Him to relieve me from this trial. I've asked Him when will this be over? How poignant that in the sermon yesterday, the pastor said, "the Lord is whispering to you....and He's saying 'just wait'." Bob said "I don't know how long you'll have to wait but this event will pass. It may be three days or three weeks." I sarcastically said to myself or three years. It's in the pit, He is the closest even though it's in the pit, He feels the furtherst. Could it be that we can't feel Him as well in the pit because we are covered by the muck and pain of the trial at hand?

In His Grasp,
Paula

Donna,
When the enemy gets you down, encourage someone! I have found that by encouraging someone, I end up encouraged. You know about the trials I have had recently, financially. God has been faithful and I keep looking up.

Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

I will be praying that you will be able(through God's strength) to keep looking up!

Blessings,
Plant Lady

Just dropping by to say Hi and that I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. Ephesians 6 - we struggle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers in high places...put on the full armor of God...having done all stand...
I think it's is in Philippians 4 where it says whatever is Praiseworthy think on these...
Remember that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you...
The pit that the enemy digs he himself shall fall into...
if God is for you who can be against you...
His word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path...
Be Blessed
