Obstacles..always seem to pop around Christmas!?

Yes obstacles seem to come in so many ways, and doesn't it seem like they are only more intense around the Holidays? Yet...Satan has been defeated at the cross and I am living proof of the Lord miraculous grace and mercy! I and all of us have come short of the glory of God, yet His grace is free and I wish for this season that people would just give their hearts over to the Lord for that FREE Grace!

Satan in the last couple of weeks has tried over and over to put lies in my head, so many that I started to believe them..for less than a split second! Now instead of giving Satan any time or space in my head, I tell Jesus that I am taking every thought captive and through words of wisdom from my Father, I said, out loud to the enemy: "Satan you are not going to steal my joy, so stop harassing me and Mike"

God you are so good, thank you for sending your Son to this world that we celebrate at this time. Thank you for cleansing me of the gargage in my life! Thank you for the miracle that I had yesterday (a fabulous story for next time!), you heard my prayer and instantly you answered me. Father you can do anything and it is just our trust that makes us obediant towards You.

The Lord said to me: "Make me the focal point of your search for security. In your private thoughts, you are still trying to order your world so that it is predictable and it feels safe. Its an impossible goal and counterproductive to spiritual growth. When your world feels unsteady grip my hand, you'll live in conscious dependence on Me!

AMEN!

Donna, I just read your comment. I can understand how you feel, I don't have as many people making comments as they use to but I think it's because of what is going on in this world and your right you just have to take authority over satan and tell him he has no authority over you because you are covered by the blood of Jesus. He cannot cross that bloodline. We are told in the Bible that we can tell him to flee in the name of Jesus.

I have not seen your other blog but will try to look at it today.

Some of the reasons that you are having a hard time with contacting people is that Blogger has made a lot of changes. One of the things they offer now on the layout is in the sidebar where the Gadgets are.
When you pull up Gadgets you can choose Blog Roll and create it with people's names and addresses and link them to their blog address. Take a look at mine. It is in the sidebar near the bottom.
You can choose to have them give you the date of their last post and the name of it. You are welcome to pull up my blog, click on names you want to add to your blog and it will take you to their blog. Click on their web address and copy it then do the following: When you first pull this up there is a place that says Add item or something similar to that, then paste their blog address there, hit enter then block it, click on the little green icon that looks like a vaccum bag and put their blog address there. You can also rename them according to their name which is what I did. When you have saved all this in the window where you copied all the addresses then save it on the template page. og. Before you leave put the Blog roll where you want it to be by clicking on the Blog Roll you have created and drag it to where you want it, then save the page and view your blog. You should see all the names you have put in. You might want to print this out so you don't have to go back and forth. That will help you go to other's blogs to comment and get back in the loop. I knew when you started blogging again because I never deleted your name from my blog roll. If you need further help you can email me at astocks@carolina.rr.com and I will be glad to help you if I can.
God bless you and I hope your Christmas will be a very happy one.
Blessings.

Hi Donna,
Yes you are right I have always been here for you. :) (Thanks for noticing) I read Alices comments she is such a sweethear always steady always there to lend helping hand. I have never had a lot of comments 0-5 somethimes a 7 or 8. But my blogging has a two fold effect anyway, the comments are just a bonus. The deire to blog keeps us continually thinking of God. As we "Blog" "Write" "Journal" we are reinforcing in our hearts the work that God had done for us. When I get discouraged about the amount of comments I get, I sit back and remind myself of a few things.
1. I only comment on a dozen or so others blogs.
2. What is my true intent of blogging? I want to draw closer to God? I want fellowship with like minded believers.
If there is anything God has tried to teach me the last few years is - Lynn you do what you know I want you to do, and trust that I (God) will take of the rest.
I'm glad you're blogging again, does this mean your computer is running again? Talk to you soon.
Loves,
Lynn
PS How old are your girls?

Donna,
Just came by to check on you and see how your doing.

Also I was wrong about using the green icon for linking, that is in the post area. The Blog Roll is very easy to do. When you click Add Item a window pops up for you to enter the person's website address and just follow the instruction from there.
Let me know if you have any trouble.
Love and prayers,
AliceE.

I came over as a result of visiting Daveda's blog. I love that there are so many blogs out here in bloggieland that exalt the name of the Lord! What a blessing. I'll come back to visit often.

Have a wonderful week!

Donna,

I've been keeping up with you through Lynn. She has told me that your computer was down.

I haven't been blogging as much lately as I have had so much going on around here. My crafting of gourds has really been taking a lot of my time because I have had two Christmas shows that I had to get ready for.

God has really blessed us this year and I give Him praise and grateful thanks.

I'm hoping you will come and visit Plant Lady's Ponderings again when you get a chance.

Blessings~

Donna, thank you for your wonderful comments. You are going to make my head swell and we can't have that. There's too much going on in my head as it is, a rod in my neck and a shunt attached to my brain. I do feel humbled that you feel you can talk to me. We could have a pitty party by ourselves. Believe it or not I have been figting some demons of my own. God knows what they are and I'm trusting Him to help me. My desire is to serve Him and help others as I can. Don't give up remember the battle is not your's it's God's. He said he would fight our battles for us and I know you have put your faith and trust in Him to do just that.

If you didn't go to my Christmas Blog I hope you will. There's a candle on my sidebar that will take you to it when you click on it.

I look forward to hearing from you again and believing for good news.
You and your husband have been in my prayers.
Luv u too,
AliceE.
